What I Learned in Week One at Aforza
Hi, I am Carolina, a third-year Economics and Marketing student, and I’m thrilled to share that I’ve embarked on a summer internship journey with Aforza, taking on the role of Marketing and Solution Engineering Intern. My first week has already been full of learning opportunities, new tools, inspiring conversations and hands-on experience.
In this weekly blog I’m going to share what life is like as an intern at Aforza: the projects I’m working on, the skills I’m developing, and the challenges I’m tackling. Whether you’re curious about internships, marketing and SE, or simply want a behind-the-scenes look at a fast-paced scale-up, I hope this series offers some useful insights (and maybe a bit of inspiration!).
Here’s a snapshot of my first week and what I’ve already started learning!
Day One: Straight In the Deep End (In a Good Way)
As soon as I arrived on the first day, I had the exciting opportunity to meet the CEO and CCO, which was nerve-wracking, but also really fun and engaging! Right away, I could tell the work environment was lively and the team collaborated seamlessly. There’s a strong sense of purpose and creativity at Aforza, and even in just a few days, I could tell that this was a place where I’d learn by doing, contribute meaningfully, and grow professionally.
Tools, Trust and Taking the Lead
I promptly started familiarising myself with all the Aforza tools, from the Fields App to Aforza Studio, and quickly started to work on my own projects. Right from the start of this internship, I’ve been given a substantial amount of trust and independence. This has already proven to be a crucial aspect, allowing me to gain invaluable experience that I strongly believe is unique and wouldn’t be attainable elsewhere.
A Demo Debut
By the end of my first week, I found myself doing something I didn’t expect so soon: leading an internal REX demo showcasing Aforza’s platform in action. The goal? To show how Aforza supports end-to-end commercial execution, from head office planning to field sales delivery, all within a single, connected ecosystem. What stood out to me during the demo prep was how intuitive and powerful the platform truly is. Without any prior knowledge or experience I was able to prepare a professional, logical, customer-ready demo.
To prepare, I began by working through the context and objectives of the session. I needed to make sure it was more than just a product walkthrough. It had to tell a compelling story of how Aforza solves real challenges for fast-growing, highly dynamic brands. Secondly I also built out a fully branded demo environment and developed storyboards for two key personas.
Throughout the demo, I focused on multiple “so what” moments and features that stand out and drive business outcomes.
From Customer 360 views and visit planning to offline functionality and live performance dashboards, I made sure to highlight not just what the product does, but why it matters. I focused on the differentiators that set Aforza apart, like vertical AI, seamless mobile-to-web integration and intuitive UX that drives adoption.
Delivering this demo so early in my internship gave me a deeper appreciation for the value Aforza brings to its customers. It boosted my confidence and also opened my eyes to the role of solution engineer, which I hope to explore even further during the next months.
Looking ahead, I’ll be preparing for my next challenge: delivering a TPM demo, and I’m also thrilled to be attending the Agentforce World Tour in London, which is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the industry.
As week two begins, I’m excited to see what lies ahead!
