This summer at Aforza has been anything but a typical internship.

From day one, we were trusted with meaningful work: delivering software demos, contributing to high-profile campaigns, and even sitting in on executive meetings. Along the way, we’ve built valuable relationships with leaders across the company, developed real-world skills, and played an active role in launching fresh marketing initiatives for Ava.

It’s been a hands-on, fast-paced experience that’s challenged us, inspired us, and proven that internships can be so much more than learning from the sidelines.

You can hear more about our journey, and see our conversation with Dominic, in the video interview included in this blog.

What We Thought Going In

When we started our internships at Aforza this summer, we weren’t quite sure what to expect. Like many people, we pictured routine admin tasks, shadowing without much responsibility, and maybe the occasional coffee run. We assumed we’d spend most of our time learning from the sidelines rather than directly contributing.

“I think everyone expects to be doing boring, routine kind of work in an internship, whereas in this case I was able to participate in real meetings, real conversations, and real campaigns.”
— Carolina Scarpa

What we discovered instead was a role that was hands-on from day one. We were welcomed as full members of the team and trusted to work on projects that mattered. That early responsibility completely changed how we thought about internships and set the tone for the rest of our summer.

What We’ve Done So Far and the People We’ve Met

From the very first week, we jumped straight into real work. One of our early highlights was learning how to deliver a software demo just like a Sales Engineer would.

Another standout moment came when we attended an executive meeting during the Agentforce World Tour in London, which gave us a rare behind-the-scenes look at decision-making at the highest level. Just as memorable as the work itself have been the people. We’ve had the chance to connect with leaders across the company: from the CEO and CMO to colleagues in sales and marketing.

“Everyone is so kind here, and being able to have close relationships is another very valuable thing I’ve gotten from the summer.”
— Melayna Carberry

Those close-knit connections have been just as valuable as the skills we’ve developed.

What We’re Working on Now: A New Campaign with Fresh Approaches

Right now, we’re excited to be part of a new campaign focused on getting Ava into the hands of real users, rather than just evaluation teams at HQ. The mission is to show how Ava delivers real value directly to those who use it every day. Instead of traditional outreach, we’re exploring fresh approaches to connect more effectively.

We’ve been creating short videos tailored for platforms like LinkedIn and TikTok. This engaging content speaks directly to users and grabs attention in today’s fast-paced social media world.

Working on this campaign has already taught us a lot about marketing and the many elements that go into a successful launch. It’s been rewarding to contribute ideas and help build something innovative during our internship.

Why We’d Recommend It and What’s Next

The length of this internship has made a big difference. At three months, it’s long enough to settle in, understand the business and contribute meaningfully: rather than just learning the ropes before it’s time to leave.

Would we recommend this internship? Absolutely. You’ll work hard, learn a lot, and make connections that last well beyond the summer. We’re excited to see what else we can accomplish before our time at Aforza comes to a close.
