Once associated with Pilgrims and Native Americans, Thanksgiving has come to symbolize human values, intercultural peace, and the sanctity of home.
These days, with families spread around the world, Thanksgiving has become a time to reunite families, cheer on costumed parades and kick back to watch the football after a sumptuous feast of turkey, cranberry sauce, and stuffing. Coupled with Black Friday, the long weekend at the end of November is also a pressure point for the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) Industry to ensure shelves are stocked, online orders fulfilled and Trade Promotions optimised.
At Aforza, our vision is to improve the lives of every Consumer by helping CG Companies to enhance their product distribution and customer engagement processes on every channel. Alongside this, our values of Trust, Customer Success, Growth and Human, embody our approach.
At a recent Company Meeting in Cardiff, I brought the team together and shared my view of our values, which run through everything we do, both internally and externally. I presented the team with four gifts to represent these values and how they relate to our customers.
A Padlock, for Trust:
We operate on 100% transparency and trust. Whether it’s your data or your business critical systems we give you full visibility and control.
Callum Fitzpatrick, Solution Consultant – keeping secure with his padlock.
An Aforza T-Shirt, for Customer Success:
Our business is about making all of our customers successful. Our team won’t rest until you are up and running with our products and completely satisfied with the solution.
Ursula Brady, Digital Marketing Specialist & Chelsi Endersby, Trade Promotion Specialist – living our values.
A Pen, for Growth:
Writing business means growth. Our modern technologies and scalable cloud platforms will help you sell more and grow faster. Aforza supports your seamless journey with 3 automatic releases full of product innovation to you every year.
Lewis Reid, Sales Development Representative – helping businesses grow.
A Water Bottle, for Human:
Never before have mental health and sustainability been so front and centre on the world stage. Helping companies give back to the community and become more sustainable is embedded directly within our products.
Sonali Pinder, Trade Promotion Specialist – building a sustainable future professionally and personally.
After the Company meeting, we took to the Taff Trail to put these values into action. Armed with litter-pickers and keen eyes, we soon filled many bin bags in support of Keep Wales Tidy. More than a team-building event, it was great to be together in person, while giving back to our community and living our values.
On the fourth Thursday of November, as we reflect and give thanks, let us also look ahead and build a Sustainably Distributed Consumer Goods Industry together.
Happy Thanksgiving!
